Sammamish Woodland Terrace

At this Sammamish home, the design expands the usable hillside space by establishing new retaining walls and terraces with organic lines that complement the native forest setting. Two staircases of monolithic steps follow a natural waterfall feature down the slope. This project involved multiple overlapping Environmentally Critical Areas (ECAs), which required extensive permitting and coordination with geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, and civil engineers.
